First day of my June vacation involves driving south on the 101 via Salinas, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, and
Pismo Beach to Santa Maria.

in the first shots is privately owned but usually parked within the visibility of the 101 southbound near
San Martin.
The meal is at Pappy's Restaurant in Santa Maria; I enjoyed a meatloaf dinner. Very huge portions plus a salad,
and I ate everything. I lodged at the Historic Santa Maria Inn, staying in 238, labeled for Clark Gable and
Carol Lombard.
