Christmas in the Park is an annual San Jose tradition in which Plaza de
Cesar Chavez on Market Street is transformed into displays
of miniature houses, dioramas, and scenes reflecting old times, holidays,
and fantasy environments (North Pole). The displays are put together
by schools, volunteer organizations, etc. using contributions from
the public and visitors to the event. Christmas in the Park runs from
Thanksgiving to New Year's Day.
